Folk On The Fringe - 'Where music is a passion not a product'

A 2 hr show of recordings, interviews and general 'shooting the breeze' about music from the 'Folk' genre and it's fringes. Presented by Phil with frequent input from Ron King it originates in Emerald on the fringe of Melbourne, (Aus.) on the fringe of the day.
Broadcast on Wednesdays from 7pm (local time) on 3MDR, Mountain District Radio - 97.1fm
Also streaming live to the web via the 3MDR website.
3MDR covers the majority of Central Victoria (Aus.), including Melbourne and reaches as far as Northern Tasmania and the eastern VIC/NSW border, plus of course the rest of the globe via the internet.
FOTF has been on air weekly since 5th Jan 1995 playing Celtic, Singer/songwriter, Americana, Bluegrass, Contemporary Acoustic and Acoustic Blues plus other genres from the fringes of these.
The focus is predominantly on music from overseas, complimenting the preceding show, 'Folkworks' (presented by the Selby Folk Club, 5pm - 7pm Weds) that has a more local emphasis.
The FOTF show format includes a local gig guide and 'Ron's Rant'. The latter is a short selection of songs and banter presented by Ron. You can listen to his own show 'An Acoustic Companion' on 3MDR from 11am on Saturdays.
